She provides you with her knowledge and extensive experience so that you can make the best, most informed decision for you and your baby. My husband and I loved taking her Bradley Method classes. We both feel like the knowledge that we gained helped us immensely during the birth of our daughter. We chose to have a natural birth at the hospital with Trisha as our doula. Because we had taken her class, we knew for certain when I was in true labor and when it was time to head to the hospital. She showed up for us in the early hours of the morning, sat with me as I was shaking with nerves, held my hair back as I vomited, and continuously poured warm water over my contracting belly as I labored in the relaxing birthing tub. She rubbed my hands, back, and feet. She applied counter pressure to my hips to help ease the pain, she reassured me when I hit my wall during transition when the pain was just too much and I wasn’t sure if I could keep going. She knew that I could do it and provided me with immense comfort and support. She let me grab and squeeze her (along with my husband) when I was pushing with all of my might. If it wasn’t for Trisha, we would have zero pictures of the birth of our daughter. I was so glad that she thought to grab my phone and snap a few pictures and take some videos as our baby was born because our photographer had slept through all of the phone calls and wasn’t there as planned. For all of this and so much more, I am forever grateful to have had Trisha as my doula. I cannot recommend her enough. She played a vital role in our birth experience.
